These three Solar light kits will come ready to illuminate your outdoor patio or deck after a day of sunshine. No wires to run or transformer to mount. The styles of these kits are very different looking, just have the same basic working guts.
Now, let us look at each of these sets highlights.
Duracell 7LM Solar Pathway Light, 4pk, Black
This four-piece set has a textured black metal pole and top, with a glass dome facing towards the ground. The reflector will spread the brilliant blue-white 5000K LED light along your pathway.
Has Sensor to turn on automatically at night. A switch under the head will let you choose 6 or 10 hours of run time. Each fixture is 5.5 inches across and 11.5 inches tall without a ground stake.
The solar panel on top of the head will charge the 250 mAh 3.2-volt rechargeable batteries during the day. Replaceable batteries are available when the first set fails, do not throw the fixture away when the battery fails to light the fixture.

Notes on the Duracell kits from customers
Some customers have complained about the battery life on the Duracell kits when first setting up their lights. If this is the case after you have purchased your set, call customer service at 1-855-826-7488. Duracell being a battery company does not want this to be a problem with their light kits.

The Crystalline solar panel on the top will charge the 900mAh AA Rechargeable Battery for up to 8 hours of illumination each night.

Dear John, thanks for your information on the solar lights. I like your page and all the information that goes with it. Do you know what is the lifespan of these different brand solar lights? And what about if it’s cloudy or rainy during the day, would the solar panels be able to absorb any power? It would be worthwhile to note as well. Thanks!
Eddy,
Cloudy days will give you a shorter light span after dark. These fixtures will last a good many years, as the LED bulbs will never burn out and you just have to replace the batteries when they fail. Keeping the solar panel clean will give you a longer lasting battery also. Do not go cheep when buying batteries.

Hi John,
I absolutely love these solar-powered garden lights.
The great thing about these is the fact that you don’t have to switch each one on manually. The other great aspect and probably the best is the fact that it uses zero electricity. Talk about saving money!
These lights seem to produce enough power for it’s purpose, so it’s perfect!
CJ,
This is the wave of the future in garden and path lights. So easy to install and maintain. No wires or electricity needed. The only draw back is the rechargeable batteries can be short lived if you get the cheep ones.

Good post. I know that solar energy is a good way to go. My parents were able to get a solar panel and it has paid off because after several years, they get a pay back. I’m sure that it’s similar to these products with recharchable batteries and such. Keep up the good work.
JP,
These fixtures will last a long time now that the technology is better. The Solar panels take less sunlight and still put out a lot of light.

Hi John, I really like the look of the Duracell solar light set; modern and chic! Thanks for the heads up with the possible battery problem. Do you know if this has been a problem for a lot of customers?
Jelsie,
This was a comment left by many customers when this product came out a couple years ago. It could be a shelf life problem of a new item. The good news is that the manufacture stepped up and replaced the faulty batteries for their customers. Did not see any of these comments from this year.
