Outdoor Patio Storage Boxes

 

 

When you have to put away your seating cushions or pool toys, looking at Outdoor Patio storage Boxes for a solution is the answer.  They come in many sizes and styles to match your needs and outdoor space.  In this article we will look at boxes that are 100 Gallons and larger for your bigger storage solutions.

Some will have extra features that will include inside storage trays, shelves, water proof, ability to be locked, wheels for mobility and extra seating area for your patio. Keter Rockwood Outdoor Plastic Deck Storage Container Box 150 Gal, Brown

 

This is the largest chest type storage box that I have in this article.  This dark brown chest is simple in design.  It has a wooden plank design and flat lid surface for sitting articles on.  Is is not recommended to use as a long term sitting area.  Great for seat cushions or pool toys.

The outside dimensions with the lid closed are 60.8 inches long, 28.5 inches deep and 24.6 inches tall.  The inside storage dimensions are 56 inches long, 24.6 inches deep and 22.8 inches tall.

The lid is not weather proof and will not hold out a heavy rain.  No drain holes on the bottom to let the moisture drain out if it gets in.  Lid does not have a provision for a lock to sucure your goods inside.  Lid does not have any thing to keep it up when open or help close it.

Some assembly required, will take about 20 minutes.

 

 

 

Suncast 103 Gallon Deck Box

 

This smaller resin deck box that is light brown with a dark brown lid has a few different options.  It has two rollers on one end and a handle on the other.  Moving this deck box should be easy, depends on the surface that you are traveling.  Not intended for seating.

The outside of the box is 56.5 inches long, 21 inches deep and 24 inches tall. Inside it will measure 54.5 inches long, 19 inches deep and 22 inches tall, it will weigh 26 pounds.

Assembly will require no tools.  Lid is designed to close and seal for a waterproof interior.  Does have a small hole for a lock for your storage protection.

 

 

Suncast 129 Gallon Deck Box with Seat

 

This is a very versitile storage box. The top can be used for a bench, just store a cushion inside and you are ready for some relaxing time.  The Heavy Duty Resin is designed to hold out all kinds of weather.  It is available in Taupe and or a neutal color to match your decor.  A removable storage shelf is included.

The outside dimensions are 53 inches long, 29 inches deep and 28 inches high.  Interior dimensions are 52 inches long, 27 inches deep and 23 inches tall.  If you purchase a cushion, one that is 45 inches by 21 inches cushion is recommended.  The thickness depends on how much butt comfort you wish for.

Easy assembly just snaps together without any tools.  The lid does not have any provisions for a lock for your suff or lid supports to hold the lid in the open position.  It does have plastic strap to hold the lid from opening too far and it is far enough that it will stay open.

 

 

Rubbermaid 121 Gallon Deck Box with Seat

 

If you are looking for seating and storage combined, this double walled resin storage box may be what you are looking for.  The beige box with white lid will let you relax after a day in the pool. The dent resistant resin weather resistant box is not waterproof.  Critters and bugs can still invade if not controlled.

The box is 60 inches long, 22 inches deep and 28 inches tall.  It will measure 56.5 inches long, 21 inches deep and 22.5 inches deep on the inside.

Easy to assemble in about 15 minutes, does require Hammer, screwdriver to assemble.  Has a strap to keep the lid from opening too far, will not hold lid open. Has lock provision for you storage safety.

 

 

Rubbermaid Split Lid Deck Storage

 

I added this Deck box as an alternative to the regular box's.  I have a taller model in my sun room.The split lid and opening front will let you store items that are too heavy to lift above the models with the opening lid.  Comes with a removable wooden shelf.

It is 55 inches wide, 28 inches deep and 36 inches tall.  The inside measures 47 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 29 inches tall.  If you have a small push mower it will fit inside.

It is dent and weather resistant, it will not hold out water, insects or animals that work at getting in.  It does have a provision for a lock to protect what is stored.  Top lid opens 90 degrees, front doors open almost 180 degrees.  This will allow you to roll anything that is inside, out without a lot of effort.
