Outdoor Wicker Patio Furniture Sets

When looking for furniture for your entertaining or eating in your rooms outside of your home, look at one of these Outdoor Wicker Patio Furniture Sets for a solution. Each will take up a different size of space or fill a different seating or dining need in an outdoor space.

You first need to decide what you are using your resin wicker patio furniture for, how many people will use it at a time, what style will fit in the space available, what style of resin wicker you will choose. Make a checklist for yourself before you get too far into this journey and make a purchase of a patio furniture set that does not meet your needs and space.

I will list each style and give you a little background and let you decide what fits best for your patio furniture needs.

Conversation sets

Conversation Sets will normally have a love seat, two chairs, and a coffee table. Chairs can have motion or be straight-legged. The love seat will normally seat two people with comfort. The coffee table can be exchanged for a rectangular fire pit in some sets, the Hanover collection has many examples.

Finishes of the resin wicker can be from just a backing of the seats to full wicker arms and sides of the tables. The set shown here has just light wicker details.

Sectional sets

Sectional sets will allow the most seating arrangements. Most will have seating for five or more people. Some will have each seating position in a different piece so that you can put your seating around the table or ottoman in any position. These sets offer the greatest versability in any outdoor patio furniture.

The coffee table is offered on some, with ottomans on others. You will have to look at the collection as each will have its own design. I like the ottoman as you can use it for extra seating or just resting your feet after a long day at work.

This set will require a larger space than most and some will require a space larger than 10-foot square. The advantage of this type of set is the ability to set it up as you need for your guests.

Bistro sets

For smaller patio areas like a balcony or builders grade deck, a bistro set may be the best fit. You will still get a table big enough for a small meal and drink, normally about 20 inches across. Two chairs that are included in this style can be had with motion or just straight legs.

I have a bistro set on my deck at the lake and we use it for coffee in the morning, snacks during the day and meals that are small like sandwiches. This does not have the room to put a meal out to grab out of dishes or pots, you must fix your plate elsewhere and just eat at this style of table.

Chat sets

A chat set is very similar to a bistro set, the big difference is the size of the table. The table for a chat set is normally smaller in size about 18 inches tall and 18 to 20 inches across, not big enough for plates and drinks. This makes this style better suited for casual conversation and a cool drink.

The two chairs can be purchased with many styles, swivel, rockers or the more elegant sets will have an ottoman for each chair.

Dining sets

If you want a dining space in your patio area dining set with seating for four or more will do. A large table, normally at least 48 inches across some larger, will allow you to set your meal on the table and your guests will be able to serve and get seconds without leaving the table.

Seating for four will be a small dining set, with sets going up to seating for eight. This is a great way to set up a dining room in your outdoor area. I have a dining set in a small paver patio in my back yard, we do eat in this area sometimes when the weather is nice.

Most larger tables will have a hole for a patio umbrella for shade when the sun is hot, I have several articles about patio umbrellas here. Most needs for shade in this area will be dictated by the outside area and the amount of sun it gets when you are outside.
