Retro Patio Dining Furniture Sets
Want the retro look in your patio dining furniture sets, the Crosley Griffith set will work with its many color combinations. With seven colors to choose from and a white all-metal table, this set will look like it came out of the 1950s. This will give your outdoor space that old traditional look that many are paying high dollars for.
The chairs will have frames that give a little to give a little rocking motion, the heavier the butt the more motion you can get, just stay under the 250 pound limit for your safety. Kids will have a harder time getting any motion out of these chairs.
You will like this collection as many styles of patio furniture, like a glider, bistro set, side table, and love seat. Follow along with this article for details on the dining set, for other items in the retro collection see my post here.

What do you get in the box
You will get a white table with a smooth metal top with a hole in the middle for an umbrella. Four chairs that will come in seven colors, Red, White, Aqua, Blue, Green, Key Lime, and Tangerine. The colors will allow you to match most patio decors.
The table is 40 inches across and 28 inches tall. A hole in the center will allow you to mount an umbrella, two leg supports will also have a hole for umbrella support. Curved legs will give a retro look and give you table stability. All tables are a white powder-coated finish.
Each of the four chairs will be 21 inches wide, 28.5 inches deep, and 34.5 inches tall. Each chair can support up to 250 pounds of weight and will weigh 15 pounds. Some pictures show chairs being a solid color, others show the frames white like the table.
Chairs will have a “C” shaped frame that will give a little movement. Metal seats and backs will look like this set was produced in the 50's or 60's. If the retro look works well for you, this is a better way to go than purchasing a set at a flea market or yard sale and spending the time sanding and repainting.
The big problem for this style of set is the metal, if scratched it will start rusting quickly. Around the hardware is also a place to watch for rust. Sanding and a repaint is one way to keep your retro patio dining set looking like new.
Assembly and care of your dining set
Assembly of your dining set can be done in an hour if you are handy with tools, all tools needed are included in the hardware pack.
I use the box to sit the tabletop on upside down. Attach two of the legs to the tow center supports with the Allen screws. Position the legs into the top, keeping the center supports in line with the hole in the top add one of the other legs one at a time. Do the final tightening of the hardware with the table setting on the legs for the best results.
For proper care, just clean with a mild soap and water mixture. Any harsh chemicals even glass cleaner may damage the powder-coated finish. Some people will also use good car wax to protect the finish once a year. Any scratches in the painted surfaces should be fixed with touch up paint before rust begins.
- No glass top to break
- Provisions for umbrella
- A small movement in chairs
- All metal construction can rust if not taken care of
- No cushions for long term sitting
