A little information on the Prospect Hill collection of wicker patio furniture

The frames of the Prospect Hill patio furniture is made from aluminum that will have a powder-coated finish. The frames are finished with woven resin wicker that will look much like rattan wicker.

The resin wicker will come in two colors. A white that is not a bright white, more like a dirty white or off white. Be careful as it will not match other white wicker finishes. The second color is a natural color that will look like unfinished rattan wicker.

Deep seating sets will give you a bigger seating area for your buns. This will be an improvement if you have looked at the Easy Care sets from Plow and Hearth, I have some information on this collection here.

Deep seating sets will come in two colors of cushions Barn Red or Midnight Navy for the seats, backs, and ottomans. The settee set and rocker set will not come with any cushions, they are available at extra cost. Replacement cushions can be ordered from the vendor at this time.

All tables will have tempered glass top inserts. Lower storage shelfs will also be included in each table selection. The shelf will give you a space to store extra snacks, reading material or other things to keep you from having to make a trip to the house.

Now let us look at each of the sets and see what works best for you.

Four different seating sets available

Sofa set deep seating

The sofa set will include a three-seat sofa, two chairs, two ottomans, and two side tables. This set will provide seating for up to seven people or extra comfort for a couple of people with the included ottomans.

It will look more like a sitting room in your house with two side tables to sit your drinks, lighting, or snacks. The deep seating will provide long term sitting comfort.

Cushions will give you extra comfort for all sitting items. Pillows shown in pictures come at an extra cost.

The sofa is 84 inches long, 35 inches deep, and 36.5 inches tall. Each chair will be 36 inches wide. 36 inches deep, and 35.5 inches tall. Each of the ottomans will be 27 inches wide, 25 inches deep, and 17.5 inches tall at the top of the cushion. Each side table will be 17 inches across and 18 inches tall.

Conversation set deep seating

If you have a smaller area and only need seating for four, this conversation set with a love seat, two chairs, and coffee table will work well.

With the same deep seating as the set above and same color choices in rattan and cushions.

The love seat will be 54.75 inches wide, 30 inches deep, and 35.5 inches tall. Each chair will be 36 inches wide, 36 inches deep, and 35.5 inches tall.

The coffee table will be 30 inches long , 18 inches wide, and 18 inches tall. It will include a tempered glass top and lower shelf made of woven wicker.

Settee Set

The settee set will work well with those with smaller spaces and buns. The seating area will be a little smaller and cushions are an option. The set will include a love seat, two chairs and a coffee table.

All items are a little smaller than the deep seating sets. Chairs will be 28½ inches wide, 27.5 inches deep, and 36 inches tall. The love seat is 50 inches long, 27.5 inches deep, and 36.5 inches tall. The coffee table is the same as the deep seating set at 30 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 18 inches tall.

The seats of this set are a little narrower at only 18 inches wide, not for the people with bigger buns.

Rocker set with side table

The rockers are just the chairs with curved rails to attach to the feet for a rocking motion. The set will come with two rockers and a side table for a great relaxing time on the front porch with a glass of tea.

Each rocker will be 29 inches long, 28.5 inches wide, and 39 inches tall.

This set does not come with any cushions, you will have to purchase cushions separately.

Assembly and Care

Assembly

Very little assembly will be needed for any of these pieces. Just adding the tempered glass tops to table and then putting the cushions in place.

On the rockers, the rocker rails will have to be attached to the legs with the included hardware.

The frames of all pieces will be assembled already, no hardware to install or pieces to fit after shipping damage.

Care

As with any patio furniture, a simple wash with mild soap and water mixture should take care of most of your stains or spills.

The powder-coated finish of the frames will not tolerate harsh chemicals very peel and will start to peel and discolor quickly if they are used.

Most spills can be cleaned up with a damp rag. Spills will not soak into the resin wicker as it does the rattan wicker.

Cushions will be the weak point of most patio furniture and will need a storage solution when not in use to last more than a few seasons. Water and sun are the enemy of cushions, protect them to make them last. For some of my storage solutions, see my category here.
