The frames of the Mainstays Greyson Square chairs will be steel with a black powder-coated finish. This will protect them from rust in most outdoor conditions.
The seating fabric is made from a plastic material, it is called sling fabric. I have several seats that use this fabric that has been left outside for over 10 years and still looks and sits like new. This fabric is available in five colors, black, blue, red, beige, and teal with the same black frames.
I have chairs very similar to this with my dining set at the lake. I can fold them up and store them in the garage when not needed and they do not have to be left out. My chairs have a lock on them to keep them from folding up by accident, this lock is hard to use.
The legs and feet of these chairs have a small footprint. On grass, dirt, or sand, they may not be very stable. Need to use on a solid foundation to keep your guests safe.
Size and special options
The chairs will fold to less than 3 inches thick when you are ready to store them. They are small enough to store in a hall closet or under a bed. I keep 2 of mine in the laundry room to use when I need quick additional seating around the house.

Typically folding lawn chairs will be very lightweight. Some patio lawn chairs will have a heavier frame. I have wooden folding patio chairs that are a little heavy to carry around to the beach. The heavier weight will allow you to leave them out in windy conditions, lawn chairs will blow away in medium winds without a butt in them.
