The River Oaks collection of patio furniture has changed for this year to include the following choices online and in stores. Many have asked if the chairs were available separately before and now they are along with a different-looking side table sofa combination.

This set will be the two chairs originally included in the River Oaks collection. They will swivel and glide. They will also come with wether covers when they are not in use.

Not just one three-seat sofa, this set will include two love seat-sized seats that will only have an arm on the opposite end. A square side table will be included for your drinks and snacks. The nesting tables have been deleted from this selection.

When looking for details on this Wicker Patio Conversation Set I visited my local store and one was on display. I sat on the chairs and sofa, it was very comfortable with the thick cushions on the seats and backs. The swivel motion of the chairs will allow you to move around in another direction when someone calls your name. The tables nested very easily and were light enough to move easily for end tables in any arrangement.

What do you get in the two boxes?With the three-seat sofa, two deep seating swivel chairs, and a set of nesting tables that can be used as side tables or combined with a large coffee table, you will find this conversation set very comfortable and versatile in any patio area. Patio furniture covers are included for the sofa and two chairs to protect them when not in use.
The metal frames will have a powder-coated finish and will be covered with a light brown woven resin wicker finish. The width of the resin wicker is larger than most, it does cover all outer surfaces of the chairs and sofas. The chairs will swivel on their round bases, giving you some motion to increase your seating comfort.
Thick cushions will cover the seating and backs of all seating positions. Squared-off cushions for the seats and pillow-type cushions for the backs. Seat cushions fit very tightly in their seats, back cushions fit very loosely. New for this year is the three color choices for the cushions. Red, Gray, or Ivory cushion colors are available.
Cushions will have polyester fabric covers with a polyester fiberfill. This fabric is not the best combination for lasting in severe outdoor weather conditions, I would recommend a storage solution even though patio furniture covers are included in this set.
The nesting tables will be able to be used in several formats. The larger table is 28 inches across and 20 inches tall, it will have an opening in the lower frame to let the smaller table slide under it. The smaller table is 20 inches across and 18 inches tall. Use them together for a larger coffee table or move them apart for two side tables. A round ceramic insert will top each table on its powder-coated aluminum frames.
The sofa will be 80 inches wide, 35 inches deep, and 32 inches high. Each chair will be 32 inches wide, 35 inches deep, and 32 inches tall. Each of the seating positions will support 225 pounds of weight.
Your conversation set will come in two large boxes, make sure that if you are picking up you have a large enough vehicle, a pickup, or a large SUV. The Chairs will be in one box and the sofa with tables is in the other box. The box with the chairs will weigh about 130 pounds and the box with the sofa will weigh about 140 pounds.
This is a great patio furniture set that will not take up much more room than a small four-seat patio conversation set. The big plus is comfortable seating, covers for the seating pieces, and nesting tables. For less than $1000, you will not find a better resin wicker patio conversation set.

Not much assembly for the seating pieces of this set, the nesting tables will require most of your time. Most will be able to have this set together in less than 1/2 hour, this will depend on your mechanical skills and workspace. All tools required for assembly are included in the hardware pack.
The nesting tables will need the three legs attached and the top inserted. The legs will attach to the top ring and bottom ring with two screws at each location. Make sure that you lay all pieces out as the small and large tables are very different in sizes of legs and tops. Make sure that your tables are sitting on a smooth level surface before the final tightening of the screws, this will provide the best results. Add the ceramic tops to the table and you are finished.
The sofa should only require you to add the cushions to get done. The chairs will need the base attached to the upper chair portion, then you can add cushions to get ready for relaxing.
Proper care of this set will require using a mild soap and water mixture to clean up any spots. Do not use any harsh chemicals as they will damage the powder-coated finish on the frames, this could lead to peeling or decolorization of the finish.
Covers are included for the seating pieces and fit nicely with the bottoms pulling together to keep them on in most windy conditions. I sat on this set at the store and it was very comfortable and the tables fit very well together.
The two big boxes will be hard to handle for most people, you will need some friends to get this set in the right spot. The seating covers will protect your furniture in most regular outdoor weather conditions.

If I remember, this set will come in two large boxes. one pox will have the sofa and the other box will have the chairs. Check with the shipping documents and make sure there were two boxes shipped and if not contact Walmart. If they shipped two boxes, the shipping company should be able to track your other box.

Any idea how often these come back in stock? I ordered this set, however, the chairs were damaged so I still need to get those. I’m told they can’t resend anything because they are out of stock. I’m waiting to find out if/when they come back in stock so I can finally get the chairs for the set I already ordered.

Chairs are not available without purchasing the whole set. If you can find a store that has a damaged box for the sofa and the chair box is good they may make a deal for the chair box. I did see a store with just the chair box in the upper storage last week.

Saw the set last summer in a Walmart and loved it. Have been trying to find it since but the store and Walmart.com were out of stock. Finally found it on Walmart.com. I live in Arizona where all colors are earth tones. I thought the cushion colors were an off white which would work well on our patio. Just got the set and the cushions are a light gray. My wife is a color freak and she tells me I have to send it back because she doesn’t like the color. Question; Have they changed colors or am I cracking up.

Looks like the cushions are available in three colors Gray, Ivory, or Red. You have to make a choice when ordering. Return the one you got and order the Ivory cushions.

We bought this set last year and love it! Now, my question is: Does this come in a darker wicker color, like dark brown? My mom loves this set and says she found it online in dark brown. I can’t find it.

I have not seen another set similar to this on the internet. The River Oaks wicker set is very hard to find this year. There are other sets with darker wicker and cushions available, not with the looks and seating of this set.

Try changing your home store to one that is still close to you. Some are still finding this patio conversation set online. I did see one box, the one with the chairs in it at a local store last week. If you really want this set, you may have to search or reach out to your local store manager.

Stores still have this product, you may have to pick up. 2 very large boxes. Try changing the store to another store in your area to see if they have it in stock. You can order it for pickup as the ones in the warehouse are out of stock at this time. I know the 2 local stores to me have some in stock.

Do not know if the River Oaks will come back in stock this year. Some stores around me still have some displays or only one box out of the two. Try to change you store to some that are within driving distance before giving up. If this fails, you will need to go to your second choice.

I really like this set but am concerned about the 225 pound weight limit on the couch. In my family, that would accommodate one person. Is this weight limit per person couch or 225 pounds total on the couch?

This may be an adjustment or just that the chairs are not sitting level. Without seeing your chairs, I would have a hard time explaining what needs to be done. You could reach out to customer service, their number should be in your instructions.

I seen this set in a Walmart in Bemidji, Mn. today with a large sign that said, five piece set of River Oak by Better Homes and Garden for $698.OO. Had to leave but decided to call Walmart back to make sure I seen the right sign for it and was going to jump on that price if it was real. The young man went to look, came back and told me they did not sell the floor model but he would look in container so see if they had they on stock. They did not then he proceeded to tell me that display was two different sets put together. I told him that his sign was false advertisement and they needed to change it. There was no way they were going to sell all five pieces for that amount and I could not get back to the store till Friday. I see from other remarks that others are having a hard time with this set, 3 or 5 pieces. I see also it was offered last year too. I want that set, but after searching I had seen it from 1, 396.OO and then 994.OO on another site. It looks like it sold for around a 1 thousand last year for 5 pieces. I would love to buy that set if I could get it even at 1.396.OO, it a good set and looks like it could withstand the northern Mn weather this summer. But where can I get it?????

If they have been out in the weather for any length of time, your fabric may have started to break down. No one can tell if they will last even in the gentle cycle of a wash machine.
Each set of cushions will react differently to the wash machine’s rough cleaning cycles.

The Cover Package has the No# BH49-092-099-02 and when I look it up online, it only refers me to the SOFA, NOT the COVER.

Most covers offered by the manufacturer will be thin and not last for more than a few years.
I would suggest the link to CoversandAll in my right sidebar for you patio furniture cover. They can make custom covers that fit and will last in outdoor weather conditions.

This set only comes in one color. I was in the local Walmart today and they had the set of 2 chairs, not the whole set. You will have to put in different stores to see if it is available this time of year.

You may have to move the store you are trying to order from. If the set you are looking for is out of stock from your distribution center, changing to a location further away from you may be needed.
If you do find it in stock, make sure that you call ahead before traveling any distance, as inventory levels are not always accurate.

We bought this patio set too, three years ago and kept it in storage. We decided to assemble it today, and the color of the wicker has turned muddy. It wasn’t exposed to any conditions as far as I can tell; it came out of the boxes wrapped in plastic and padding. I loved that light tan wicker color wish was maintained. Is this how it fades after three years?

I would clean the wicker with a mild soap with a brush if needed. Normally wicker does not change color much as the color is died into the material when it is manufactured. It should not be just a surface color.
If this does not work, I would try a power washer on the lowest setting.
